QAnon as apocalyptic

Q is a troll who started on the anonymous imageboard 4chan. Q has moved elsewhere but sometimes the "Anonymous Conservative" blog relays the trollings. I've never been impressed and, I understand, Q's earlier posts had plagiarised Internet comments by one "Sunshine".

Q has two theses. One is that world elites belong to a cabal of evil sexual degenerates hostile to Christianity. The other is that conservatives friendly to President Donald Trump have a plan to overthrow this cabal. The first is true, at least informally. The second is doubtful.

For students of Late Antiquity, a genre of popular literature is Apocalyptic. This tees off on the starting assumption that this world is ruled by Evil. But there is hope: someday God will assign His apostle to end the reign of Evil and to make everything Good again.

As Conservatives continue to lose the culture, and to lose their own electoral franchise: expect this ghost dancing to entrench itself within Conservative society. The Q troll(s) will keep teasing Conservatives. Q will promise to reveal Itself at some time or place of Its choosing - It won't actually appear, but It will attract millions of hopefuls awaiting their great pumpkin.
