Something cut my Xfinity around 2:45-3:45 PM but I still had Mar-Emmanuel's PDF downloaded locally so: heeeerre's Johnny.
Mar Emmanuel, the absolute lord of this topic, in the second memra of his thesis discusses British Library Orient 9385. M-E relates that a fanboy at Tabriz in AG 1573, which approximates AD 1262, transcribed a pile of Penkaiana. Tabriz at the time was Hülegü Khan's shelter for all east-Semitic academe, including the Nestorians'. The Tabriz Vorlage claimed itself a copy of some compilation which the Ilkhan had looted from Arbela.
This pile, in AD 1901, some mad lad copied into this manuscript which the Brits will register as "9385"; and, it seems, in the past eight centuries others enjoyed access to the Tabrizi database as well.
Of relevance here lately: On The Trisagion, which will concern how Emperor Justinian messed it all up for everybody. M-E cares more about memre #15-16 which (he argues) postdate the Resh Melle and lament over the Arab shultanuta.
It would be nice if we plebs could, also, read BLOr9385. But... we can't! It is still in the British Library and they haven't been digitising their Syriac. UPDATE 2/3: Based on this advice from BnF, the Browse option is your best bet... for other MSS.
