h/t Sabine, Auke Hoekstra on That Mail Article. I am reminded of the controversy because my ex-haunt also keeps commenting on Electric Vehicles, despite being wrong.
With all due admittance that ye olde combustion engine may have some miles left in it. And that fracking might bootstrap us to geothermal. And that natural-gas extraction must be weighed against mineral-extraction. And that even coal has some useful byproduct. Note: if you read Hoekstra, we can take his claim to be a former Lomberg fan at face-value: Hoekstra is anti-alarmist.
Mine own point isn't for or against global warming. (Although yeah, I'm agin' it - and this blog has plans, at least for Venus.) My point is: we need more energy, for the people: for the working people, who work (without spreading plague).
AukeHoekstra is illustrating how we are getting there. What's everyone else got. Snark, in the case of Ace of Spades. Outright lies, in the case of Lomberg.
